Kuje jail escapee captured in Ogun
One of the escapees of the Kuje Correctional Center, Yakubu AbdulMumuni, has been captured by the police at Ota, in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the Ogun State. Kbdailynewz accumulated that the 28-year-old AbdulMumuni was captured Monday by agents of the order.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun, Abimbola Oyeyemi, affirmed this in a proclamation on Wednesday.
As per him, AbdulMumuni was captured following data got by cops at Sango-Ota divisional central command that the convict was located somewhere near Sango Ota.
Upon the data, the DPO of Sango-Ota division, SP Saleh Dahiru, was said to have in short order assembled his men to the region where the convict was caught.
"He admitted to the police that he got away from Kuje Correctional Center on the fifth of July 2022, when the Center was gone after by crooks.
"He expressed further that he was indicted by Kogi State High Court for offense of Conspiracy and blamable murder and shipped off Kuje Correctional Center," Oyeyemi informed.
Oyeyemi said the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole had coordinated the State CIID to work with the exchange of the convict to the remedial focus immediately.
